Mobile phone penetration in Pakistan

My 7 year old niece owns a mobile phone worth 50,000. Surprising??No it’s not surprising for anyone. Mobile phone usage in Pakistan is growing so much that we don’t care if we have enough food for a day but we care if our mobile phone is stuffed with enough credit jeweled with more convenient call and sms packages. Mobile phones are more about just mean of communication. It has also become a status symbol; who have the latest model is in the spot light. Different applications and firmware associated with mobile phones makes them more demanding among youngsters. No doubt why Pakistan is the fifth largest market of mobile phones in Asia. In past there were only PTCL telephone sets who were the only source of communication but now every member of a family owns mobile phone.

No one can deny the fact that how much these mobile phones are brining social changes. Society behaviors have changed which is bringing revolutions in norms and ethics. They have become little journalist. Access to social networking websites and easily done IMs have become a convenient way to instantly spread words among people. No wonder how controversial MMS brought revolutions when everyone was instantly sharing such MMS with each other. For spreading of mobile phone usage like a plague we can also blame media, actress having latest mobile phone models were impressive enough for people to copy them. Different mobile phone networking companies and their commercials are another culprit who offer cheap offers for mobile phone networks provoking enough for everyone to buy another mobile for access to another network. So we can say that Pakistanis reception are welcoming enough for tech innovations introduced by developing countries.

How media can be more responsible in Pakistan

When we talk about vibrant media in Pakistan electronic media comes before anything else in our mind. Before the trend of electronic media there was print media hailing everywhere in Pakistan influencial newspapers like Nawa-i-Waqat and Dawn participated in the establishment of Pakistan. The idea of a powerful media originated from these newspapers later their ideologies were followed by electronic media and still being exercised. We see television in every household whatever people are learning and whatever social changes are being brought up in our society are because of our media. From agenda setting of news channels and political talk shows, people have become more e=aware of their political situations in their country the now knows who they can vote for a better change. General elections of 2013 are a good example of media building awareness in our society, where we saw people giving importance to vote and thousands of youngsters to come out and protest for their rights.

But media is not just about news channels and politics. We do not put much head on entertainment channels, we do not talk about the social changes these entertainment channels and their programs are bringing in our society. Entertainment channels are an integral part of Pakistani society. Where men are into sensational news channels women are watching entertainment channels which include morning shows in morning and soap operas in prime time. According to a Gallup survey (2012), the most popular time slot for men, women and children is between 7 to 10 pm which also interprets that women watch more television at this time than men. Another program that is presented in entertainment channels are morning shows those can be watched on every rating obsessed entertainment channel. These morning shows are of three hour duration and their biggest audiences are housewives and females who spend most of their time at home. Though these soap operas and morning shows have big audience which is a result that Pakistani have gotten their interest more into over glamorized women and soap operas who are promoting nothing but women gender biased roles proving every Saas( mother in law) a cruel women ever Bahu(daughter in law) a cunning vamp. But we can’t blame media of only a bad guy and cannot ignore the facts that media is responsible of awaring people of their good and bad, also strengthening their selves for every situation that come up on our beloved country. In the end let’s be thankful to Pakistan Government who is letting media for having fun and not bothering them.

Is it healthy to eat with hands??

Few days back i was thinking that how can it be health to eat with hands as our Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) always ate with his right hand's three fingers. So i went through several websites and asked different people and at last got satisfying answers. The most interesting reason i heard is:
When you eat with your fingers certain digestive enzymes are released by the fingers which aid in the digestion process.This also inhibits the deficiency of insulin, in addition to aiding the diabetics. Licking the fingers clean after eating insures that digestive enzymes are properly consumed and swallowed into the stomach which helps the eyes, the brain and the stomach. This is a great cure for various stomach ailments, brain diseases and heart problems.
Others are:
1.It promotes cleanliness. If you know that you will be eating with your hands you will be more likely to wash them before and after you eat.

2. Eating with your hands and using three fingers limits the amount of food you eat and it helps with being aware of the food you are eating, and it is helpful in preventing overeating.

3. By using your hands you can tell if the food is hot or not and prevent burning oneself, instead of just digging in with a fork. 

While there is a talk about eatig with forks and spoon you will see that lots of food get wasted while eating with hands you wipe off all the food and nothing get wasted.

I rather like to eat with hands and what do you prefer??!!

Our fathers really work hard girls!!

This time comes in every girls life when she thinks that she have found her better-half and now her life is going forward. Well!! it seldom happens that the guy which she is in love with is really her soul mate but not always. Come on girls!! your life is not Shakespeare myth of Romeo and Juliet neither a prince comes to rescue you from your wicked parents.The people who really loves you in your life are your parents and your husband after your marriage.Some boys fool girls for the sake of money or other sexual benefits and when their task is achieved they dump them and girls stand there empty handed and hearted either.
Request: You are the guardians of yourself take care of your self-esteem and do not waste your fathers money of those worthless brats.

Our so-called limitations!!

"Such a shameless woman she is working out , studying with boys arguing with men."
These are the words which women of  our society have to hear if they are trying to live equally with men. A woman who is living in darkness dumb and worthless is the only woman with respect. Whoa!! that is not what i say that is what our society consider.
A father takes his baby daughter  in his hands and make lots of dreams for her in that only moment. Further he send her to study. Outside are boys with whom she is suppose to study, sit , play and share .
That girl is scoring high grades but somewhere inside no one knows that jealousy is developing against her .
Now, if she speaks the answer of question asked by teacher loud she is considered to be trying to grab boys attention in class, if she is arguing on some topic with a boy giving presentation she is shameless and if she is trying to keep with friends every girl and boy in class she is characterless.
I know my readers are getting my point . Some is thinking " Yea is happens to me too" and some is thinking " My friends do it not me".
Dudes and dudettes!! "Charity begins at home" . We all are wrong at some point . We got to avoid jealousy from others i get jealous sometimes and so do you. Lets just quit spreading this filth.Our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) have said:  "Avoid jealousy , for it destroys good deeds as fire destroys wood." 
If we love our Prophet (SAW) then we got to obey Him!!!.

Few days back someone asked me that what is the key of spreading happiness in whole world.Well!!i asked her to give me a day then i will answer her. I searched on Google and in many links i found a really beautiful quote:

       “If you see someone without a smile; give him one of yours.”

Giving someone your smile cost you nothing or do it??. There are many  ways of making anyone smile. Just a mere smiley face can make anyone smile you do not need to prepare a joke .

Next day i met that friend of mine and told her that quote but it was not easy to convince her as i thought.

Again she asked how can anyone spread happiness with this quote?

If i give you a smile will you not smile?? Just keep on passing your smiles . Never let that chain to break .
